There will be a public meeting tomorrow in
Apalachicola
to discuss Franklin
County’s
health care system.
The meeting is part of a community health
needs assessment the county is undertaking with the National Association of
counties to see how resident’s views of Franklin County’s health care system have
changed over the past few years.
The assessment will look
at what types of medical services are needed in Franklin County as well as the economic impact of the
local health care sector and look at ways the health care system can better
meet community needs.
A similar meeting was held November 3rd in Carrabelle.
County officials said the first meeting was well attended by
community leaders.
The county has collected over 100 surveys so far.
The next and final community meeting on the health survey
will be held on Thursday afternoon from 11:30
to 1:30
at the Armory in Apalachicola.
