BRACE Kicks–Off Northern Gulf Coast Community Partner Initiative Meetings
February 7 in Franklin County
~Community groups sought for participation in five counties for 2012~
Apalachicola,
FL – Franklin County Emergency Management in coordinating with Be Ready
Alliance Coordinating for Emergencies (BRACE) today announced the kick-off of
the 2012 Community Partner Initiative and a stakeholder meeting to be held in Franklin
County on February 7.

January 26 – Okaloosa County EOC – 90 College Blvd E in Niceville

7 – Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Center – 108 Island Dr in Eastpoint
Meetings
have already been held in Bay and Gulf Counties.
“The goal
of this unique partnership is to enhance disaster readiness and response
capabilities of community, faith-based organizations, and businesses throughout
Franklin County,” said Pam Brownell, Director, Franklin County Emergency
Management Department. “We are urging all local groups to sign-up for this excellent
opportunity today.”
During 2012
the Community Partner Initiative will be working together with county emergency
management departments and numerous other agencies and organizations to
strengthen relationships and disaster preparedness, response and recovery
capabilities in the following Florida counties: Bay,
Franklin, Gulf, Okaloosa and Walton County.
