A 74-year-old Crawfordville woman suffered minor injuries after she crashed her 1997 Ford into “G-Signs,” a Crawfordville business building across from the Wakulla County Courthouse Sunday, March 4 at 2:59 p.m.
Nellie Daniels Baggett was leaving the dirt area of the Subway restaurant driveway when she accelerated onto U.S. Highway 319 northbound and veered off the road. She crashed her vehicle into the building and created approximately $20,000 worth of damage. Her vehicle suffered between $5,000 and $8,000 worth of damage in the accident.
The Florida Highway Patrol and Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and FHP noted that the driver had a pre-existing medical condition that contributed to losing control of the vehicle. The driver also struck a pole in front of the business.
Baggett suffered minor injuries in the crash but was not transported to the hospital.
