Camp Gordon Johnston reunion this weekend in Carrabelle


The 17th annual Camp Gordon Johnston reunion is being held this weekend in Carrabelle.

The event starts today though the main attractions will be on Saturday.

Today the US Army heavy Boat Company will be docking their landing craft at Marine Street for everyone to see.

There will also be free boat tours to Dog Island.

And this evening there will be a social at the Post 82 American Legion in Lanark Village.

Saturday is the big parade at 10:45 with lots of military vehicles as well as local and state marchers.

The parade will be headed up by the Army Band from Fort Rucker.

The city of Carrabelle will be serving up free spaghetti lunches at the end of the parade route.

You will also be able to check out the military craft through the day and possibly even a coast guard cutter.

Saturday will end with a Dinner and dance at the Carrabelle Municipal Complex.

And while you are there make sure to stop at the Carrabelle Municipal Complex to see the free art exhibit of Russia during World War 2.
