Don’t Miss the Governor Stone!

Don’t Miss the Governor Stone!

This amazing 1877 gaff rig wooden sloop is the last known example of this Gulf Coast working boat.  It served as a military vessel during WWII.

Thanks to the City of Carrabelle and the Franklin County Tourist Development Council, this fabulous National Historic Landmark is docked at the Waterfront Dock next to the fishing pavilion on Marine Street for the month of March.  (It’s docked at the Carrabelle River Marina on Timber Island from March 9th to 11th.)

Tours of the ship and sails will be available on the weekends and by appointment.  Call Cal Allen at 850-524-1124 for more information.
