The Franklin
County
hospital advisory board has a new member.
County commissioners this week agreed to
place Apalachicola
resident Robert Davis on the board – he will replace Margie Solomon.
Mister Davis works with Crooms
transportation and is a Bishop with the Love center Church.
He was recommended to the board by
Commissioner Noah Lockley.
The 9 member hospital advisory board has
been very busy in recent years with local health care issues ranging from the
construction of a new urgent care clinic in Carrabelle to operations at Weems
Memorial
Hospital .
The board is also now working on plans to
build a new hospital in Apalachicola .
County commissioners also agreed to send a
letter of appreciation to Mrs. Solomon for her years of work on the hospital board
as well as to Gail Dodds and Paul Marxsen who resigned from the board in
December.
