Celebrate Historic Apalachicolas Maritime History and our extroadinary seafood.

To coincide with the 2012 Apalachicola Antique and Classic Boat Show, the Historic Apalachicola Center for History, Culture and Art has organized the "Apalachicola Marine Art Exhibit" and Sale opening April 6, 2012 and running through April 28, with an opening reception scheduled for Second Saturday, April 14th, from 6-8 PM. The American Society of Marine Artist Members exhibit will feature artists; Bill Farnsworth, Hodges Soileau, Mary Erickson, Don Maitz and Val Sandell. The Center for History, Culture and Art, located at 86 Water Street, is stewarding the 52 foot long Apalachicola Traders’ Canoe which is always on display. This historic canoe was discovered in the spring of 2006 in the waters of the Apalachicola River. The Center is open every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 noon to 5 PM. Also on Second Saturday , WB Barnhart will be at Gardens Inc from 11 to 4 with all kinds of fresh produce. Gardens will be open until 8 and having a select container sale at 20% off.
