Managers FAM Trip to Carrabelle
The past two weeks we have had over 20 media visit Carrabelle and the surrounding area. This report will have the details of their visit. Our main focus has been on this media and marketing of Carrabelle with this excellent opportunity to promote our community and businesses. Our goal was to provide extensive information, coverage and exposure Carrabelle. We have included photos of the journalists and Visit Florida Welcome Center Managers.
Visit Florida Welcome Center Managers FAM Trip

Visit Florida Welcome Centers receive over 2.1 million visitors every year.
Locations:
· I-10 West of Pensacola
· US 231 near Campbellton
· I-75 near Jennings (near Lake City)
· I-75 at Yulee (near Jacksonville)
· State Capitol Building in Tallahassee
The Visit Florida Welcome Center Managers and staff visited Franklin County on a Fam Tour to see what there is to see and do here. They stayed in Carrabelle for one night and toured the area the next day.
New Media and Travelwriters:
· Sue and Kevin McCarthy from Missouri visited Carrabelle from April 17 to 21. They toured the area and did extensive activities. They cover radio, TV, print and internet.

· Nancy Spraker out of Atlanta and writes for several magazines such as Sailing and Boating, Attitudes and Latitudes, etc, She visited Carrabelle with Sue and Kevin Mccarthy and went out in the boat with Chester and hiking with Lesley in Tate’s Hell. She loves Carrabelle, sailing, the nature, local seafood, wildlife and the area accommodations.
· Hope S. Philbrook with Atlanta Newcomer Magazine visited Carrbelle from April 28 to May 1. She is doing a feature article on Carrabelle and the surrounding area. The article will be in the August-September issue of the Atlanta Newcomer magazine. The article will also be available online atwww.newcomermagazine.com. The Chamber has been advertising in this magazine for two issues this year. The magazine has a wide coverage and circulation in the Atlanta market, including distribution in the Chamber of Commerce, real estate offices, hotels, businesses, etc.
· Scott Holstein - Photographer visited Carrabelle from April 28 to May 1st. Scott is taking photos for the Carrabelle Chamber on the surrounding area and things to do. Scott is the main photographer for Tallahassee Magazine and the Emerald Coast Magazine. He has done many magazine front cover photos.
· Mary Ann DeSantis will be visiting Carrabelle from May 30 to June 3. She will be doing an article in the Ocala Lifestyle Magazine on the area.
