FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL RECRUITS FUTURE TROOPERS
~ FHP is hiring 132 qualified people for its next two recruit classes ~
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Are you looking for an exciting career where you can become one of Florida’s finest? The Florida Highway Patrol is accepting applications for the position of state trooper. FHP is looking for qualified applicants to attend academy classes scheduled to begin this year. The 123rd basic recruit class will start July 15, and the 124th basic recruit class will start Dec. 2.
Law enforcement officers with Florida certification who wish to transition to the Patrol may apply for the transitional classes, scheduled to begin in late July and November.
FHP pays recruits $2,514.88 per month when attending the academy, located in Havana, Fla., (just west of Tallahassee). All new recruits must complete 28 weeks of training, and recruits with law enforcement certification must complete eight weeks of transitional training.
