North Florida Medical centers receives federal grant for facility and equipment needs


North Florida Medical centers incorporated, which operates 11 medical and dental clinics in North Florida, including one in Eastpoint, will share in nearly 93 million dollars in federal money designed to address pressing facility and equipment needs
The health centers, like the one in Eastpoint, receive federal funding to provide preventive and primary care to patients regardless of their ability to pay. 
North Florida Medical Center will receive nearly a half million dollars in grant funds for improvements to their existing clinics.
Other groups sharing in the construction funds include medical centers in Dade City, Miami, Avon Park, Parrish and Sumterville.
