Veterans Services provide at the Camp Gordon Johnston World War 2 museum


If you are a veteran of the US Armed Forces and would like to learn more about the services you are eligible for, come to the Camp Gordon Johnston Museum in Carrabelle on Tuesday.

From 10 till 2 the Tallahassee Vet Center will be at the Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum at the Carrabelle Municipal Complex to provide veterans with a number of services.

That includes Individual and group counseling for Veterans and their families as well as family counseling for military related issues.

There will also be Bereavement counseling for families who experience an active duty death,  military sexual trauma counseling and referral, Substance abuse assessment and referral and even Screening & referral for medical issues.

You may be eligible for VA benefits if you are a Veteran, Veteran’s dependent, Surviving spouse, child or parent of a deceased Veteran a Uniformed service member or a Present or former reservist or National Guard member.

Eligibility for most VA benefits is based upon discharge from active duty military service under other than dishonorable conditions and certain benefits require service during wartime.

No appointment is necessary to come out to Camp Gordon Johnston, however if you wish to call or visit the Vet Center in Tallahassee they are located at 548 Bradford Road.
