FLASH FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FOR.WESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTY

THE NATL WEATHER SVC IN TALLAHASSEE HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR.
 WESTERN FRANKLIN COUNTY IN FL.
 SOUTHWESTERN LIBERTY COUNTY IN FL.
 EASTERN GULF COUNTY IN THE PANHANDLE OF FL.

* UNTIL 515 AM EDT/415 AM CDT/

* AT 1135 PM EDT.THE NATL WEATHER SVC HAS DETECTED FLASH
 FLOODING OVER THE WARNED AREA.

* LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO SUMATRA.
 OWENS BRIDGE & TWIN POLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE
UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE.TURN AROUND.DON`T DROWN.

TALLAHASSEE AT (8 5 0) 9 4 2 8 8 3 3. OR.YOU MAY CONTACT THE
NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY OR YOUR COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.
THEY WILL RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE NATL WEATHER SVC.
