Water Street Festival of Ice Promotes Apalach History
Join in at the Water Street Festival of Ice beginning Aug. 11 in Historic Downtown Apalachicola as the town salutes Dr. John Gorrie, the inventor of the ice machine. Maritime Museum Hosts Archaeology Talk Aug. 17
The Apalachicola Maritime Museum will host a talk on maritime archaeology on Aug. 17. Jason Burns, maritime project manager at Southeastern Archaeological Research, Inc. will give the presentation which will be followed by a shrimp boil on the docks. Click here for details.

Estuaries Day Sept 28
It's all about the Bay on Sept. 28 as the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve (ANERR)celebrates National Estuaries Day at its new Research and Visitor Center in Eastpoint.The festivities will run from 1:30-6 p.m. and will feature family-friendly activities and exhibits.
