The Disaster Recovery Centers in Franklin and
Wakulla counties now have new Sunday hours.
The
Franklin County center is located at the
old Apalachicola High School at 192 14th
street – the Wakulla Center is at the Agricultural Center on Cedar Avenue in Crawfordville.
The
centers are open from 8 AM till 6
PM
every day but Sunday – when they are open from noon till 6 for residents
affected by Tropical Storm Debby.
The
centers have representatives from FEMA, the Small business Administration, and
Disaster Unemployment Assistance.
If
you sustained a loss or damage from the storm you can pre-register with FEMA by
calling 800-621-3362, Online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by tablet or
Smartphone using the FEMA app.
The
Small Business Administration provides low–interest disaster loans to help with
residential and business losses not covered by insurance.
Disaster
Unemployment Assistance is for people who have become unemployed as a direct
result of a declared disaster and who do not qualify for regular Reemployment
Assistance benefits.
The
program covers individuals who are self as well as fishermen and
others
who are not normally covered by state reemployment assistance benefits.
