The Florida Seafood festival will hold its annual
Miss Florida seafood pageant this month.
Nine young ladies will compete for the title of Miss
Florida Seafood – its one of the biggest fields of contestants in recent memory.
The young ladies are competing for a 500 dollar
scholarship plus the chance to represent this year’s Seafood Festival which
will be held November the 2nd and 3rd at Battery Park in Apalachicola .
This years contestants include Hannah Oxendine,
Christina Collins, Carli Hunt, Ashley Carroll, Roxanna Barahona, Haleigh Ming,
Josie Turner, Cynthia Duncan and Annalyse Warrie.
The winner of the pageant leads the seafood festival
parade and officially opens the event.
She also promotes the festival and local seafood
through public appearances around the area.
Everyone is invited to come out for the show.
The
pageant will be held on July the 28th at 6:30 at the Franklin County School ’s cafetorium.
Tickets
will be sold at the door; they are 5 dollars each.
