A Sopchoppy man was killed in
an early morning accident on Highway 319 Thursday.
48 year old Charles Clarence
Laughton was killed after a car pulled into the path of his motorcycle just
after 5
o’clock Thursday morning.
According to the highway
patrol, Mister Laughton was heading south on Highway 319 when Mitchell
Thompson, also of Sopchoppy, drove his 2001 Buick onto the highway from Curtis Mill Road
Mister Laughton tried to
avoid the collision but was unable to; his Honda motorcycle hit the left side
of the Buick.
Mister Thompson and a
passenger in his vehicle were uninjured.
