Floridians find telemarketers as annoying as mosquitoes

Telemarketers violating Florida’s “Do not Call List” topped the list of consumer complaints during the month of July.

The Florida Department of Consumer Services has begun issuing a monthly list of consumer complaints, violations of the do not call list have topped the last five.

That was followed by complaints about people asking for Contributions and Landlord/Tenant.issues.

The Department of Consumer Affairs said more that 4800 complaints were made during May over the state’s consumer hotline.
