Isaac is now a hurricane

Here is the latest information on the impacts for our region associated for what is now Hurricane Isaac

The Tropical Storm Warning from east of Destin to the Aucilla River has been discontinued.

Coastal Flood Warning and High Surf Warning  are in effect from east of Destin to the Ochlockonee River Entrance. This includes: South Walton, Coastal Bay, Coastal Gulf, and Coastal Franklin counties.

Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for Coastal Wakulla County.

Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for Coastal Jefferson, Coastal Taylor, and Coastal Dixie Counties.

We are still anticipating that the surge will peak (or already peak) on the high tide cycle in Apalachee Bay by 2 pm ET today. Tidal variations will be slow to recede today. High surf will progressively cause more problems on the Florida Panhandle as larger and more dangerous surf impact the coast.

Rainfall amounts will be on the lower side of our predictions through Wednesday (image attached). Note, that isolated higher totals are possible, particularly if a large band of showers and thunderstorms develop.

At this time, there are no further webinars anticipated for our region. If you have any questions, please give our office a call at 850-942-8833.
