County to place signs honoring state champion softball teams

County officials have agreed to erect signs along Highway 98 at the entrances to Franklin county recognizing two of our state champion softball teams.

The signs will recognize this year’s Dixie Youth Debs team as well as the Franklin County girls all-star softball team that won the state championship in 1999.

The signs that were placed after the 1999 winning season have since disappeared – commissioners think they might have been stolen.

A third sign recognizing only the 2012 Debs will be placed along Highway 98 near the Franklin County School.
