ESTUARIES DAY COMING SOON! FRIDAY, SEPT. 28th, 2012

The Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve will be
hosting their annual Estuaries Day Celebration Friday, Sept. 28th from
1:30-6:00 p.m. EDT. The first 600 visitors (over 3 years of age) will
receive a free t-shirt. The event features over a dozen free games and
learning activities for kids and adults of all ages. The Florida Wild
Mammal Association will be on hand with a couple of live animals on
display. Adults in attendance will be eligible for a door prize drawing
featuring donated items from many local businesses from 5:30-6:00p.m.
Visitors must enter from 108 Island Drive in Eastpoint (Millender
Street will be closed). The front gate will open at 1:00 p.m. however
visitors will not be admitted to the event until the scheduled start time of
1:30 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult to gain
admittance.
