On Tuesday, September 4, 2012, former legislator and Florida Senate President Philip D. Lewis passed away.  Senator Lewis served as a Florida Legislator from 1970 to 1980, and was President of the Florida Senate from 1978 to 1980.  In memory of Senator Lewis, I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at the County Courthouse of Palm Beach County, Florida, the City Hall of West Palm Beach, Florida, and at the State Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida, from sunrise to sunset on Monday, September 10, 2012.
