WEEKLY REPORT

This report represents some events the FWC handled over the past week; however,
it does not include all actions taken by the Division of Law Enforcement.
NORTHWEST REGION
SANTA ROSA COUNTY
Officer Howard Jones received a call from an individual informing him that a personal watercraft (PWC) had struck a dock near Grassy Point in Blackwater Bay around midnight. There were reported injuries and EMS was responding. Officer Jones responded to the area with Officer Steve Hoomes responding by vessel. Preliminary investigation indicates there was one person onboard the PWC when it struck the dock. The operator suffered impact injuries and was transported to Sacred Heart Emergency Room. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
WALTON COUNTY
Officer Heath Nichols located and interviewed a subject regarding a petit theft case that occurred at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park. While checking out of the park, the subject paid his lodging fee but took back a portion of the money when the park employee turned her back for a brief moment. The subject agreed to return the money after he learned of a video that captured his actions. The subject was issued a trespass warning prohibiting him from entering the park. Charges are pending.
