The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will be in Apalachicola next
week.
The
commission’s next meeting will be held December the 5th and 6th
at the Franklin County Courthouse.
The
Wednesday-Thursday meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. both days.
The
commission will discuss a number of hunting and fishing issues including the
oyster populations in the Apalachicola Bay ;
In a
draft rule hearing, the Commission will discuss possibilities for the 2013 Gulf of Mexico gag
grouper recreational season.
It will
also address a proposed hunting amendment that would allow quota permit holders
to take a different guest each day of a quota hunt.
The
commission will also consider any improvements it might want to make to the
statewide alligator harvest program.
