February 23rd St. George Island FL House Concert To Raise Awareness & Resources For Franklin County Affordable Housing

 The Franklin County Community Development & Land Trust Corporation (501c3) presents “Depot Creek” featuring Jon Copps and Neal Jones, with Randall “Big Daddy” Webster opening, in a house concert 8:00pm Saturday February 23^rd 2013 at 225 W. 10^thStreet, St. George Island Florida.  Tickets are $15.00 and available at the Butler Agency Eastpoint FL (850-670-1200), and at the Steve Watkins Law Office Apalachicola FL (850-653-1949).

“Depot Creek” is a stellar Americana group melding the best of American Folk and Roots music for a brilliant performance.  Multi-instrumentalist Jon Copps plays guitar, banjo, harmonica, mandolin, dobro, and lap steel guitar.  Copps roots are from Frostproof Florida, and he now lives in Tallahassee Florida from where he’s toured the country and overseas including an Ireland tour with Randall “Big Daddy” Webster a few years back.  Check out these tunes by Copps: https://soundcloud.com/jon-copps.  Bassist Neal Jones is a talented “tub thumper” playing upright bass driving the rhythm section.  The Emerald Coast native is a real “tub thumper” tastefully driving the rhythm section of whatever ensemble he’s performing with.  Together Copps and Jones will take you on an acoustic tour of the very best in Americana and Roots music.

This house concert is a rare opportunity to hear incredible music in an intimate acoustic environment where the performance is a true conversation between the audience and the artist.  If you’ve never been to a house concert, this will be a great one!  Please bring a small covered dish or food item for 5-6 people… everyone will graze before and after the show.
