Governor names Crawfordville woman to Board of Occupational Therapy Practice


Governor Rick Scott Appoints Four to Board of Occupational Therapy Practice

Tallahassee, Fla. – Today, Governor Rick Scott announced the appointments of Heidi A. Roeck-Simmons, Tammy McKenzie and James F. Spafford, and the reappointment of Carol M. Watson to the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.

Roeck-Simmons, 39, of Tallahassee, is the vice president of operations at Health Connections Rehab Services. She succeeds Kathleen Banta and is appointed for a term beginning February 21, 2013, and ending October 31, 2015.

McKenzie, 48, of Crawfordville, is the owner of Progressive Pediatric Therapy and Developmental Center. She fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning February 21, 2013, and ending October 31, 2016.

Spafford, 55, of Loxahatchee, is the group regional director of operations with DaVita Inc. He fills a vacant seat and is appointed for a term beginning February 21, 2013, and ending October 31, 2014.

Watson, 42, of Bunnell, is a certified occupational therapy assistant at Florida Hospital Oceanside. She is reappointed for a term beginning February 21, 2013, and ending October 31, 2015.

The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
