Governor Scott comes to the Estuarine Reserve

Florida governor Rick Scott made a stop at the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve on Monday to discuss his proposed budget for the upcoming year and to explain some of the items specific to the Franklin County area. Governor Scott has a 3 million dollar line item in the budget to help with stormwater projects including a half million dollars to study the water flows needed to keep the bay healthy. He was joined at the press conference by a number of state and county leaders including Senator Bill Montford, Representative Halset Beshears, Department chiefs for DEP and FWC, and county officials including Pinki Jackel, Cheryl Sandersand Alan Pierce.
