Higher tipping fees for household trash and yard waste take
effect at the Franklin County
landfill beginning March the 1st.
Because of an increase in the cost the county pays Waste
Management to operate the transfer station at the Franklin
county landfill, it will cost residents more to bring certain types of waste to
the landfill.
Beginning March the 1st, the tipping fee for
household trash will increase from 45.55 to 65 dollars a ton.
The tipping fee for yard trash will double from 22.45 to 45
dollars per ton.
Other tipping fees will remain unchanged.
The cost for dumping Construction & Demolition debris as
well as white goods will remain at 45 dollars a ton.
Dumping regular tires will cost 2.50 each up to 4, and 250
dollars a ton for more than 4.
The cost of dumping large truck tires will remain at 5
dollars each.
