Two Reserve workers named "star" employees


Two employees at the Apalachicola National estuarine research Reserve in Eastpoint have been named Florida Department of Environmental Protection Star employees for 2012.

Erik Lovestrand and Lisa Bailey were among 125 of the Department’s highest performers around the state to receive the award which recognizes staff that has shown exemplary work and dedication to the agency’s mission of environmental stewardship.

Lovestrand is an Environmental Manager with an emphasis on education at the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve in Eastpoint.

Bailey is an Environmental Specialist at the Reserve and assists in the education program.

Lovestrand and Bailey were honored in a reception at the R. A. Gray Building in Tallahassee on Thursday, February 21.
