Army Specialist Zachary Lee Shannon, of Dunedin, Florida, died on March 11, 2013, in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.  Army Specialist Zachary Lee Shannon was assigned to B Company, 4^th Battalion, 3^rd Aviation Regiment, 3^rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3^rd Infantry Division, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. 

By virtue of the power and authority vested in me by 4 U.S.C. § 7(m), as amended on June 29, 2007, and the laws and Constitution of the State of Florida, I, Governor Rick Scott, hereby proclaim and direct as follows:

1.      All National and State flags shall be flown at half-staff at the County Courthouse of Pinellas County, Florida, and the City Hall of Dunedin, Florida, on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in honor of Army Specialist Zachary Lee Shannon.

2. The National and State flags at the Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida, shall also be flown at half-staff on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in honor of Army Specialist Zachary Lee Shannon.
