FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN FRANKLIN COUNTY NOMINEE RECEIVES DAVIS PRODUCTIVITY AWARD
Franklin County – The Florida Department of Health in Franklin has received 1 of the 59 awards in the 2013 Prudential - Davis Productivity Awards Program. The awards recognize and reward state government employees for work that has increased productivity, promoted innovation, improved the
delivery of state services and/or saved money for Florida taxpayers and businesses. Janice Hicks, Business Manger, has been awarded a Davis Productivity Award for 35 Years of Dedicated Service to
the Florida Department of Health in Franklin County.
The program is a public-private partnership, co-sponsored by Florida TaxWatch, The Florida Council of 100, and the State of Florida. The 2013 awards competition attracted 468 nominations from Florida’s state agencies for innovations and productivity improvements that generated $514 million in cost savings, cost avoidances and increased revenue for state government.
“Janice has had an unwavering commitment to the public health of Franklin County throughout her professional career” said Marsha Lindeman, Administrator of the Florida Department of Health in
Franklin County. “There is no job too big or too small. She strives for excellence in both herself and for her team.
The Florida Department of Health is grateful to Janice for her 35 years of dedicated service”.
The award winners will be recognized at various award ceremonies during the month of June in locations throughout the state.
