2 companies show interest in designing Alligator Point bike path

            Franklin County commissioners on Tuesday opened qualifications from companies interested in designing a new multi-use path in Alligator Point.

The path would reach from Alligator Point Marina to Gulf Shore Boulevard.

The companies that responded were Prebble Rish out of Port St. Joe and the Genesis Group out of Tallahassee. 

Their qualifications were passed on to a committee for consideration, but at this point their qualifications may not matter.

The Department of Transportation requires that at least three companies apply for the work – so the 122 thousand dollar project will likely have to be re-advertised.
