County opens qualifications from companies to provide training and exercises at EOC

Franklin County opened proposals this week from companies interested in providing disaster response training and exercises through the Franklin County emergency Management office.

The training is funded through a Homeland Security grant.

Two companies bid on the project, Emergency Disaster Strategies and the Expert Managers group, both out of Tallahassee.

A committee including Emergency Management Director Pam Brownell, county planner Alan Pierce and county commissioner William Massey were named to read the proposals and make a recommendation at the next county commission meeting.
