Liberty county school bus involved in minor accident

A Liberty county school bus was involved in a minor accident Wednesday morning.

The bus, which was carrying 62 children, hit a Chevy Uplander that was pulling on to State Road 12.

No one was injured in the accident.

According to the Highway Patrol, the Uplander was parked on the shoulder of State Road 12 waiting for a child to get on the school bus.

The school bus was parked on Chester Road waiting for the child to board.

One the child got on the bus, the bus turned on to State Road 12 at the same time the Uplander pulled off the shoulder of the road right into the path of the school bus.

The bus hit the right rear of the Uplander.

The driver of the Uplander was cited for careless driving.
