County commissioners have accepted
a bid for the widening of CC Land Road
in Eastpoint.
The board accepted the low bidder which was CW Roberts out
of Hosford but will have to negotiate their bid price down a little further.
The county has just over 646 thousand dollars to widen and
resurface 2 miles of CC Land road from the fire station to Highway 65, but the
lowest bid came in at just over 681 thousand dollars.
Three companies bid on the project – the other two bids came
in between 737 and 883 thousand dollars.
The project is being funded through the Florida
department of Transportation.
