Franklin County Sheriff's Department to hold fund-raiser to help catch a killer

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a fundraising dinner on Saturday to raise money for a reward fund for information leading to the arrest and conviction involving the murder of Pamela Kinney.

Pamela S. Kinney was last seen alive on August 14th, 2005 in Apalachicola; her body was found on September the 5th, 2005 at the Box R Ranch west of Apalachicola.

She was 19 years old.

Miss Kinney had been with friends, and was last seen walking home - she never made it there.

Authorities suspect Kinney was murdered at a beach house on St. George Island that was closed for repairs after Hurricane Dennis and then her body was dumped in a secluded wooded area off Tilton Road where it was found by a Panama City hunter and his wife who were scoping out the property for a hunting trip.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office continue to seek any information that may lead to the arrest of the person responsible for Kinney’s murder.
If anyone out there has information that could help police find Miss Kinney’s killer – you can call the sheriff’s department at 670-8500.

The sheriff’s office is offering a reward in the case, and will hold a fundraiser on Saturday at the Apalachicola Police department to raise more money for the reward.

The benefit will be held beginning at 11:00 am and will include Grilled Chicken plates for $6.00.

This event is also sponsored by AJ’s, Tamara’s CafĂ©, the Piggly Wiggly Deli, Apalachicola Ace Hardware, Tamara’s Tapas Bar, Maxey’s Bail Bonds, and the Gulf Side IGA.
