Paradise Dancing at Dixie Theatre

Performers go “Dancing in Paradise” in two shows for Pam Nobles Studio’s 32nd recital Saturday, June 1, at 1:01 p.m. and 6:06 p.m. at the Dixie Theatre in Apalachicola. Tickets are $10 advanced or $15 at door. Call 653-8078. Doors open 45 minutes before each show.
Sunny skies and balmy breezes are part of what the Paradise dancers illustrate, with some headliners like the Hillside Dancers, Hot Flashes, Tamara Marsh singing, Holly Chambers in a solo Bridge of Light, Three Little Fishes, and Sea Cruise.
Arnett Peel, Nobles’ uncle, will emcee the two shows, and perform with his sister, June Gray as well.
Special awards go to Georgia Page, dancer for 3 years; Myia Maxwell, 6 years; Holly Chambers, 12 years; Patricia Perryman, 13 years; Linda Griffin, 18 years; Bonnie Smith, 23 years; Linda Maloy, 24 years; Rita Theis, 26 years; Debby Ruffner 27; June Gray, 30 years.
Since beginning in 1981 as Horizon Twirlers, Pam Nobles Dance Studio has helped bring out exceptional dancing talent in hundreds of students. From God Bless America, to Amazing Grace, Under the Sea, Don’t Rock the Boat, to Hip Hop on Highway 98, students will be showing off that talent.
