Welcome Earl and Ginger Coulter with their business East Bay Oyster Company located at 327 US Highway in Eastpoint. East Bay shucks and packs Apalachicola Bay oysters and they sell blue crab, mullet, all kinds of fish, and shrimp from the surrounding areas. They are a wholesaler and opened a retail location this past March. Ginger and Earl were born and raised in Eastpoint. His parents Brenda and Franklin Coulter had a seafood house for many years. Coastal RV Resort Welcome Garrett and Danielle Creamer managers/owners of Coastal RV Resort located at 957 US Highway 98 in Eastpoint. Coastal RV Resort offers guests an unobstructed view of Dog Island, St. George Island and St George Sound. They have twenty RV sites, to expand to thirty in the future, and plan to be open in early fall. They will offer spacious sites that will accommodate up to 45’ motor coaches and large 5th wheel campers. Every site is positioned to allow easy access with a bay view. Visit their websitehttp://www.coastalrvresort.com Apalachicola Riverfront Film Festival Welcome Apalachicola Riverfront Film festival, a volunteer nonprofit organization formed to produce a first class film festival in Apalachicola. Merrill Livingston is the creative brain behind the festival. Raised in Apalachicola, Merrill graduated with BFA in film and Television in 2008, from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). She has formed a committee to help make the festival a reality. The committee includes Tom and Sharon Morgan, Ron Copeland, Anita Grove, Judi Stokowski, and Jim Bachrach. The festival will feature independent films from around the country, local documentaries and student films from the prestigious FSU Film School and Savannah College of Art and Design. The films will be entertaining and enlightening and will appeal to a broad audience. Special guest will include Kevin McCarey, National Geographic filmmaker and professor at SCAD. Food and beverages will be available for purchase and music will continue throughout the evening. At approximately 9:00pm here will be a fireworks display on the Apalachicola River. Thursday, July 4th, Decorate your vehicle and join in! Anyone in costume or on a float or in a decorated vehicle can participate in the parade. Bring your squirt guns and plan to get wet! Line up at the intersection of 1st Street W and W. Pine starting at 10:00 am. Parade begins at 11:00. And there will be fireworks on the beach at the Blue Parrot after dark. Elections for our new 2013-2014 board of directors were held at the June 6th luncheon. The board and membership welcomes Tom Morgan, owner of Apalach Outfitters, to this year’s board.
