Telemarketers top complaint list in May

Telemarketers violating Florida’s Do Not Call list topped the list of consumer complaints in Florida in May.

Every month the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services releases a list of the top three complaints made by consumers in the Sunshine State and almost every month telemarketers top the list.

Telemarketing in general made the second spot on the list in May followed by issues with fuel.

In total, more than 4000 complaints were filed by consumers last month.

The Department also added over 21 thousand numbers to Florida’s do not call list which is supposed to keep telemarketers from calling you.

There are over a half million numbers on that list.
