A correctional officer at the state prison in Wakulla County was arrested this week for allegedly bringing heroin and other illegal drugs to inmates.

According to Wakulla county Sheriff Charlie Creel, 35 year old Rocky Butler was arrested early Tuesday morning and charged with two counts of possession of a synthetic schedule 1 narcotic with intent to sell and possession of heroin with intent to sell.

He also faces a charge of bribery and public order crime.

The arrest came after a month long investigation that included the Wakulla County Sheriff’s office, The US Postal Service, FDLE and the Florida Department of Corrections.

The investigation revealed that Butler received packages containing Spice, rolling papers and smoking apparatus.
