Event Description:
Come join our free workshop to gain valuable insight into small business accounting and tax strategies. This is the perfect opportunity for small business owners to get access to accounting and tax strategies that can help you ensure your company’s financial well-being. We designed this event to provide our fellow community members with tools they can use every day to maximize their efficiency and better understand their company finances. Best of all, after learning the basics of small business accounting and tax strategies, attendees will be given the opportunity to ask company specific questions during the panel discussion.
Free and open to all businesses!

Covenant Hospice Offers Grief Support Group
Feelings of grief and loss can be overwhelming. For this reason, Covenant Hospice will be offering a six-week grief support group from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug 15 at the Covenant Hospice Office, located at 1921 Capital Circle NE, Tallahassee, Florida. Those who attend will have the opportunity to explore their grief in a safe and caring environment. The support group begins on Aug 15and will run for six Thursday evenings through Sept 19. The support group is free but registration is required. Light refreshments will be served. Learn time-saving cooking techniques that will help save money too! Try your hand at quick-fix tricks and taste test some recipes in this hands-on workshop taught by Kendra Zamojski, Leon County Extension.

TCC Wakulla Center – Wilderness First Aid and CPR/AED Course Offered
Joey Tillman will once again offer a CPR/AED and Wilderness First Aid Course on Saturday, August 31 here at the TCC Wakulla Center, located at 2932 Crawfordville Highway, north wing of the Centennial Bank building. On Sunday, September 1, the course will be held at Myron B. Hodge Park in Sopchoppy. The cost for the Wilderness First Aid Course is $125 (cost includes book, medical kit, and certification card); cost for the CPR/AED Course is $20. 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. on Saturday for CPR/AED; 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. You must attend both days of the WFA to receive your certification.
