Needed: Your paragraph added to the U.S. Congressional Record
U.S. Senators Nelson and Rubio held a Congressional Field Hearing in Apalachicola this past Tuesday. Apalachicola Riverkeeper, Dan Tonsmeire testified before the Senators urging Congress to instruct the Army Corps of Engineers to establish freshwater flows that will sustain the Bay. Public comments will be accepted through August 23.
PLEASE take a few minutes to make your voice heard in Washington. It can be a short paragraph or long letter. Imagine Congress getting flooded with thousands of letters from citizens telling their personal stories. Send your letter before August 23. Tell the U.S. Congress why YOU think we must save Apalachicola River and Bay. Apalachicola Bay and Franklin county's livelihood cannot be left to die.
Written comments for the record should be sent to both: sara_gibson@commerce.senate.
Please consider sending us a copy: riverkeeper@
Thank you for Standing Up for Apalachicola River and Bay!
