Franklin County Public Library seeking new director

The Franklin county public library is seeking a new director.

Glenda Ondracek, who has served as the library director since 2009, has submitted her resignation effective October the 31st.

The library board of Directors said a committee of three people from Carrabelle, St. George Island and Apalachicola will now consider applicants to bring to the county commission to hire.

Library board chairman Denise Butler said the group hopes to hire locally but want to maintain the high level of professionalism that the library has enjoyed since it was created over 20 years ago.

The starting salary for the library director is between 33 and 35 thousand dollars depending on the qualifications of the applicant.

All interested applicants should contact the public library in Eastpoint.
