Grand opening for Franklin County public library today at 4

There will be a grand opening and ribbon cutting for the new library in Eastpoint this afternoon from 4 till 6.  

The new library is in a 5000 square foot building on 13 acres off of Hickory Dip Road.

It provides much more space than the libraries previous location at the Point Mall.

The project broke ground in 2007, work on the parking area and entrance were just completed.

The public is invited to attend the grand opening today, the event will include speeches, a ribbon cutting and refreshments.

You will also get to tour the new building.

Again, the grand opening will be this afternoon from 4 until 6 PM.
