PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE
TO: All customers in White City, Highland View, St. Joe Beach & Overstreet
Due to a loss of pressure in the water lines that supply your drinking water, there is a concern for possible contamination. Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking or cooking be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative bottled water may used for these purposes.
When the main has been repaired and flushed. A bacteriological sample of the water will be collected and sent to the laboratory. This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until the bacteriological sample shows the water is safe to drink.
If you have any questions you may contact Larry McClamma at the Water Department Office at 229-1421, 229-6395 or John Grantland at the City of Port St. Joe Public Works Office at 229-8247.
