Squirrel hunting begins on private lands in Florida

Squirrel hunters can hit the woods this weekend on private property with the opening of gray squirrel season.

Season dates are October 12th through March 2nd statewide on private lands.

Open dates for hunting squirrels on wildlife management areas depend on the wildlife management area.

Wildlife management Area brochures are also available at local tax collectors’ offices.
