Oyster Radio: Birchwell selected as public library administrator

The Franklin county Public Library system has a new director.

County commissioners have agreed to hire Anne Birchwell to the job to replace retiring director Glenda Ondracek.

Miss Birchwell lives in Carrabelle and has worked at the library for the past 6 years.

She has also worked with the Franklin County literacy office and the Wilderness Coast library group.

Miss Birchwell has her bachelor’s degree and is working toward getting her masters of library science degree.

She was one of 11 people to apply for the position.

She will begin her new job on December the 2^nd.

The library is now looking for a new part-time assistant for the library system.
