Saturday, December 7th at the Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum, the Movie, Tora, Tora, Tora will be shown in the movie room.

Released in 1970, the American-Japanese collaboration war film dramatizes the Japanese reasons for the attack that brought America into WWII. Some of the scenes are actually archival film taken from one of the carriers participating in the attack.

The film was directed by Richard Fleischer and stars an ensemble cast, including Martin BalsamJoseph CottenSō YamamuraE. G. MarshallJames Whitmore and Jason Robards.

The title is the Japanese code-word used to indicate that complete surprise had been achieved. In Japanese it means “Tiger”

There will be one showing beginning at 10:30. Free popcorn will be available. Admission at the museum is, as always, by donation.
