Tress Dameron hired as EOC coordinator

The Franklin County emergency Management Office has hired a new coordinator.

Emergency Management Director Pam Brownell said that Tress Reynolds Dameron was hired to fill the vacancy left when Mike Rundell left the department in September.

Tress is a graduate from Apalachicola High school with an AA in general studies and Vet tech.

The Emergency management office is still seeking a special needs coordinator/ office manager to replace Joyce Durham, who retired at the end of November.

The commission agreed on Tuesday to set the pay for that position at 25 thousand dollars a year.
