Public hearing on proposed restoration project to be rescheduled

The Deepwater Horizon Natural Resource Damage Assessment Trustees had to cancel its open house and public workshop in Panama city last night because of the weather, and plan to reschedule it for early February.
The event was set up to hear from the public on proposed restoration projects along the Gulf Coast including in Franklin, Gulf and Wakulla Counties.
There are about 627 million dollars in projects proposed for the entire Gulf Coast including a number of boat ramp, restroom and park improvements in Franklin, Gulf and Wakulla counties.

You can see a full list of the proposed projects by going on-line to gulfspillrestoration.noaa.gov.

You can also make comments there through February the 19th.

We will let you know the new date for the workshop and open house when its made available.
