Local law enforcement arrested 12 people Wednesday during an
early morning drug sweep.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s office along with the Apalachicola and
Carrabelle police departments served numerous drug offense warrants across the
county.
The sheriff’s department said the warrants were the
culmination of an extensive narcotics investigation led by the Franklin County
Drug Unit.
Charges range from Trafficking of Narcotics to the Sale or
Possession of Narcotics, with several Child Neglect charges also included.
Several of the suspects were found with drugs in their
possession during their arrests and will face additional charges of possession
of controlled substances.
There were numerous types of drugs seized during the apprehension
of several individuals, including Crack Cocaine, Powder Cocaine,
Methamphetamines, Methadone and Numerous types of Prescription Medication.
